Strike now comes with a FLAT SURFACE MOUNTING BASE, at
no additional cost! With Lightnin’ Strike, we give you an even bigger
variety of mounting options. You may still use any of the Driftmaster
Lil’ Pro™ base mounts, or the
other optional Lightnin’ Strike mounts as well.
 The Lightnin' Strike design allows the fisherman to quickly pick up
the rod from the holder and handles both light and heavy rods. When a
fish triggers the hook set mechanism, the spring-action sweeps the rod
tip upward and firmly sets the hook in the fish. The spring action
also then serves to cushion the rod and provides added pressure and
"plays" the fish while the angler moves into position to pick up the
rod. There is an optional
Ground Stake Kit
available which adapts the Lightnin' Strike to bank fishing by simply
driving the stake into the ground and placing the rod holder into the
top of the stake tube. The Ground Stake kit is sold in pairs and
features a heavy rust-resistant Teflon coating.
Mounting to a boat or dock is easy! By designing the Lightnin'
Strike to utilize the widely available mounting bases manufactured by
Driftmaster®, a wide range of mounts and bases make locating choices a
cinch.
The company offers two innovative new trolling bar set ups for
trolling or drift fishing. One named
"T-Bone" mounts four of the rod holders and another called the
"Half-Rack" mounts two.
